About Us
If you’re a parent whose child was diagnosed with a disability, you know the fear and confusion associated with trying to find out what to do next. Disability diagnoses are simply exploding for today’s generation. Reports state that 1 in 110 children have autism – just one single condition – to say nothing of the hundreds of others that are being diagnosed each day. Unfortunately, for parents of these children, it is extremely difficult to find answers due to the scattered and incomplete information available today. Child’s Turn seeks to provide a solution to this vexing problem.
Who We Are
Child’s Turn is a Southern California-based non-profit organization composed of parents, educators and legal professionals committed to creating an online community where individuals with special needs can be united with the professionals who offer services specifically tailored to their unique circumstances. With more than 30 years of experience working in the field, Child’s Turn provides the most comprehensive listing of service providers in the United States so that the exploding population of special needs children and adults have both a place to find valuable services and a forum to exchange their opinions with other like-minded individuals.
Who We Help
Simply put, Child’s Turn was created to help children with special needs. However, the group of professional service providers listed on our site exist as a resource for children, adults, parents, relatives, friends and anybody whose life has been affected by disabilities. Child’s Turn also offers more than just listings. By aggregating information from across the web, as well as creating our own original content in the form of blogs, articles and web TV, we provide critical data and stories to people who are struggling to find direction while dealing with life-changing issues.
Who We Work With
Child’s Turn provides listings and contact information for a myriad of service providers that is not limited to counselors and therapists. Our site promotes, among others, recreational facilities, government organizations, non-profit groups, schools, testing services and virtually every type of service that might affect or be affected by disabled children and their families. We allow service providers who do not have a significant internet presence to create an information-rich biography that will reach tens of thousands of people across the country. Our scope is nationwide and, with regional offices spread throughout the country, Child’s Turn has gathered listings from every state in the union.
Who We Want To Become
Child’s Turn seeks to become the preeminent portal in the United States for disabled children and their families while providing the assistance they need to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. Whether you’re looking for a qualified service provider or information related to a condition that has affected your life, Child’s Turn will be there for you.
